Rinjani Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights via Sembalun to Torean is the perfect journey for those who want to experience the complete beauty of Mount Rinjani in a balanced and immersive way. Starting from the wide savanna of Sembalun, the trek gradually leads you through rolling hills, breathtaking crater rim views, and up to the summit where you can witness an unforgettable sunrise above the clouds. Along the way, you will feel the true essence of adventure while being surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.

 

The journey continues down to Segara Anak Lake, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, as well as soak in the natural hot springs. The return route via Torean offers a completely different experience, taking you through lush forests, waterfalls, and scenic valleys that feel untouched and magical. This trekking package is designed for those who seek not only a challenge, but also a deeper connection with nature and the diverse beauty of Rinjani.

Day 0: Welcome to Lombok

After arriving in Lombok (Airport, Mataram, Senggigi and Bangsal), you will be picked up and driven by private car to your chosen accommodation in Senaru. Your guide will meet you there and provide a detailed briefing about the trekking preparation and procedures.

Day 1: Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 meters above sea level)

  • Breakfast is served at the hotel at 6:30 a.m. before starting the journey.
  • After breakfast, trekkers are registered at the main gate of Mount Rinjani National Park.
  • The trek begins with a two-hour walk to Post 1 (915 m) through scenic savanna landscapes.
  • Upon arrival at Post 1, enjoy a short 15-minute rest before continuing the ascent.
  • Continue trekking for one hour to reach Post 2 (1,500 m), where a longer break and lunch are provided.
  • After lunch, the journey continues to Post 3 (1,800 m), taking approximately one hour.
  • Take a 15-minute rest at Post 3 before continuing the climb.
  • Trek through rolling hills for around 3.5 hours toward Sembalun Crater Rim.
  • Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 m) around 4:30 p.m. and enjoy breathtaking views above the clouds overlooking Mount Rinjani.
  • End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the crater rim campsite.

Day 2: The top of Mount Rinjani (3.726 meters above sea level)

  • Start your day early with a warm breakfast prepared by our team at 2:00 AM before the summit push.
  • Begin the trek to the summit of Mount Rinjani at 2:30 AM under the stars.
  • Experience the first stage of trekking with a moderate trail that takes approximately two hours.
  • Continue to the second stage featuring a relatively easier path dominated by loose volcanic gravel.
  • Challenge yourself on the final ascent known as “Letter E,” the steepest and most demanding section of the climb.
  • Reach the summit at 3,726 meters and witness breathtaking panoramic views of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and the iconic Segara Anak Lake.
  • Enjoy a magical sunrise from the summit before descending back to the campsite.
  • Recharge with breakfast at the campsite before continuing the journey down to Segara Anak Lake for approximately three hours.
  • Relax and unwind at the natural hot springs near the lake after enjoying a well-prepared lunch.
  • Trek onward to Propok Campsite (1,600 m), passing scenic rivers and lush green hills before dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Torean Village (600 meters above sea level)

  • Start your day with a peaceful morning and enjoy your final breakfast in the stunning Propok Valley, often compared to the scenery of Jurassic Park
  • Take in the fresh mountain air and breathtaking views before preparing for your descent
  • Begin the trek down towards Torean Village through lush landscapes and scenic trails
  • The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours, offering a mix of adventure and relaxation
  • Stop at Birisan Nangka (1,101 m) for lunch and a well-deserved rest
  • Continue the descent while enjoying the unique beauty of the Torean route
  • Upon arrival at Torean Village, our driver will be ready to transfer you to your next destination (Airport, Mataram, Senggigi and Bangsal)

Please keep your backpack light and carry only daily essentials such as water, rain gear, snacks, camera, and personal items. Our porters will carry shared camping equipment and meals during the trek.

We also encourage eco friendly trekking by reducing single use plastic waste and using refillable water bottles whenever possible.
