Rinjani Summit 2 Days 1 Night is a perfect choice for adventurous hikers who want to reach the top of Mount Rinjani in a short time. This program is specially designed for those with good physical fitness, focusing on the ultimate goal, standing at the summit at 3,726 meters and witnessing a spectacular sunrise above the clouds.

 

Starting from Sembalun village, the trek takes you through vast savanna landscapes and scenic mountain views before continuing toward the summit. Although the climb is quite challenging, the reward is an unforgettable experience and a deep sense of achievement. This package is ideal for those with limited time who still want to experience the highlight of Rinjani in an efficient and memorable way.

Day 0: Welcome to Lombok

Once you arrive in Lombok (Airport, Mataram, Senggigi and Bangsal), we will arrange a private transfer to your hotel in Senaru. At the hotel, you will be introduced to your trusted guide, who will explain all necessary information about the trekking process.

Day 1: Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 meters above sea level)

  • Start your day with breakfast at the hotel at 6:30 a.m. before preparing for the trek.
  • Register your trekking at the main gate of Mount Rinjani National Park.
  • Begin the hike to Post 1 (915 m), a two-hour journey through scenic savanna landscapes.
  • Take a short 15-minute break at Post 1 before continuing the ascent.
  • Trek for another hour to reach Post 2 (1,500 m), where you will enjoy a longer rest and lunch.
  • After lunch, continue the journey to Post 3 (1,800 m), which takes about one hour.
  • Relax for 15 minutes at Post 3 before continuing the climb.
  • Hike for approximately 3.5 hours across rolling hills toward Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 m).
  • Arrive at the crater rim around 4:30 p.m. and enjoy breathtaking views above the clouds overlooking Mount Rinjani.
  • End the day with dinner at the campsite and rest while enjoying the stunning mountain atmosphere.

Day 2: The top of Mount Rinjani (3.726 meters above sea level)

  • Early breakfast is prepared at 2:00 AM to fuel your summit adventure.
  • The trek to the summit of Mount Rinjani begins at 2:30 AM under the stars.
  • The first stage of the climb takes around 2 hours with moderate difficulty.
  • The second stage offers an easier trail, mostly covered with loose gravel.
  • The final stage challenges you with the steep and demanding “Letter E” route.
  • This section requires strong stamina, determination, and mental focus.
  • Upon reaching the summit (3,726 meters), you will witness breathtaking panoramic views.
  • Enjoy the sunrise overlooking Lombok Island, Segara Anak Lake, Bali, and Sumbawa.
  • After descending to the campsite, breakfast will be served before continuing the trek.
  • The journey back to Sembalun village takes approximately 5 hours, including a lunch break at Post 2, followed by transfer to your next destination (Airport, Mataram, Senggigi and Bangsal).

Please keep your backpack light and carry only daily essentials such as water, rain gear, snacks, camera, and personal items. Our porters will carry shared camping equipment and meals during the trek.

We also encourage eco friendly trekking by reducing single use plastic waste and using refillable water bottles whenever possible.
