Rinjani Trekking 4 Days 3 Nights via Sembalun to Senaru is a perfect trekking package for those who want to explore the complete beauty of Mount Rinjani at a more comfortable and relaxed pace. Starting from Sembalun, the trek takes you through beautiful savannas, crater rim views, the summit sunrise, and an unforgettable overnight stay at Segara Anak Lake, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and natural hot springs. The journey finishes through the lush tropical forest of Senaru, offering the perfect combination of adventure, stunning landscapes, and memorable experiences in nature.

Day 0: Welcome to Lombok

After arriving in Lombok (Airport, Mataram, Senggigi and Bangsal), you will be picked up and driven by private car to your chosen accommodation in Senaru. Your guide will meet you there and provide a detailed briefing about the trekking preparation and procedures.

Day 1: Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 meters above sea level)

  • Breakfast is served at the hotel at 6:30 a.m. before starting the journey.
  • After breakfast, trekkers are registered at the main gate of Mount Rinjani National Park.
  • The trek begins with a two-hour walk to Post 1 (915 m) through scenic savanna landscapes.
  • Upon arrival at Post 1, enjoy a short 15-minute rest before continuing the ascent.
  • Continue trekking for one hour to reach Post 2 (1,500 m), where a longer break and lunch are provided.
  • After lunch, the journey continues to Post 3 (1,800 m), taking approximately one hour.
  • Take a 15-minute rest at Post 3 before continuing the climb.
  • Trek through rolling hills for around 3.5 hours toward Sembalun Crater Rim.
  • Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 m) around 4:30 p.m. and enjoy breathtaking views above the clouds overlooking Mount Rinjani.
  • End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the crater rim campsite.

Day 2: The top of Mount Rinjani (3.726 meters above sea level)

  • Wake up at 02:00 AM and enjoy tea with light snacks before the summit hike.
  • Start the trek to the summit of Mount Rinjani at 02:30 AM.
  • Reach the summit at 3,726 meters above sea level for a spectacular sunrise view.
  • Enjoy panoramic views of Lombok Island, Segara Anak Lake, Bali, and Sumbawa from the top.
  • Descend back to Sembalun Crater Rim for breakfast with hot coffee or ginger tea.
  • Continue the trek down to Segara Anak Lake through scenic mountain trails.
  • Relax and enjoy lunch beside the beautiful Segara Anak Lake.
  • Visit the natural hot springs located near the lakeshore.
  • Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere with views of Mount Barujari and surrounding mountains.
  • Spend the night camping by the lake while enjoying the stunning Milky Way above the mountain.

Day 3: Senaru Crater Rim (2.641 masl)

  • Wake up in the morning and enjoy the beautiful view of Segara Anak Lake from your tent.
  • At 07:30 AM, enjoy breakfast while surrounded by the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
  • Continue relaxing in the natural hot springs during your second day at the lake area.
  • At 12:00 PM, enjoy lunch before preparing for the next trek.
  • After lunch, begin hiking through three scenic hills toward Senaru Crater Rim, with each hill taking around 1 hour.
  • Walk through the peaceful pine forest with fresh mountain air and the sounds of wild birds before reaching Senaru Crater Rim.

Day 4: Senaru Village (601 meters above sea level)

  • Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise at Mount Rinjani.
  • Enjoy your breakfast while taking in the stunning mountain scenery.
  • Begin your descent toward Senaru Village, passing through lush tropical forest trails.
  • Continue trekking downhill for approximately 4 hours with a lunch break at Post 2.
  • Arrive at Senaru Village and relax after completing your trek.
  • Meet your driver at Senaru Village for transfer to your next destination in Lombok (Airport, Mataram, Senggigi and Bangsal).

Please keep your backpack light and carry only daily essentials such as water, rain gear, snacks, camera, and personal items. Our porters will carry shared camping equipment and meals during the trek.

We also encourage eco friendly trekking by reducing single use plastic waste and using refillable water bottles whenever possible.
